Last Thursday (Sept 20th) sony released the PSP-2000 to the Japenese market. The Latest PSP costs 19,800 Yen of approx $170. At the same time they released what will probbaly become the ultimate accessory the 1seg Tuner which can turn the PSP-2000 into a TV. The launch went well with Sony announcing sales of around 130,000 units. There were also around 40,000 1seg tuners sold.
Although the official release was On thursday Sony in a stroke a maketing genius released a limited edition model which was bundled with Crisis Core (Final Fantasy VII). The Limited edition model sold out in a day selling a reported 65,000-70,000 units.
We expect to get more official sales figures later in the week. So far things are looking good for The PSP-2000 and fans are eagerly awaiting a US and European launch. Expect a review as soon as we can get hold of a PSP-2000 from our japanese contacts.

If you’ve just bought your PSP you are probably concerned about the prices of the games. One alternative to buying games is to download them from websites.
